New dvd release : Silver Fang

Hi, There have been a time since I last post.
I guess sometime you turn really busy and forget things.
But I guess the passion to blog were a bit lost in the spring, so sometime you need to take a break .
Just to find the way one more.

I have now 19 post in draft and I need to finish some soon.
So I have something to do, indeed

But let go to some news

What happened if you mix some edition of the Silver Fangs dvds?
Like the release of 2008 and the release of 2011 ?

Let's take a look

The release of 2008

The release of 2011

Different covers and layout indeed. Both have the dub and the cut version.

I like the purple version, just the color and layout . Or more the different layout and covers.
On the release of 2008  the dog jumping out on the cover seems to lost their tail and it's a bit a mess.
Just if you compare of the quality of the covers.

So today, the big news, that make me so happy is;
I got the newest dvd release

Image from the store Ginza.se

I got a bit surprise  when I found this one in a store.
For me that are a bit nerd and like to collect the different editions release

I just  on the new edition , there are some darker purple color , then the early release.
But other then the inside on the new dvd is mostly the same, as the dvd release of 2011

Inside the dvd release of 2011

The new release of 2015

 If we could take away the text on the cover , like ;
" Hela Svenska serien"
Meaning "The entire Swedish Series"
That will be better, since  there are already that say that this dvd have Swedish dub.
But also the dvd have also Finnish and Hungarian dubs aswell.
But well sometime or often the Swedish release have extra text, that telling this is the dub version

Right, if you take a look at the cover, you see that  the image of Akakabuto with "jumping flying dogs ", from the uncut Swedish version of 2015
You can see the image here

A other thing I notes were that face that some dog have lost there tails
I know that Kurotora have been missing his tail since the third vhs release (with mean a time back, somewhere in the 90's) . At lest Kurotora got his tail back in, if you look at the back cover on the 2011 release.
But now have Cross lost her tail and please don't get me started on Riki
Or Smith     >_>
Take a look at Akakabuto's claw, frame. It seem like that clip and past , and not work on that one.
It just feel a bit amateur to clip in dogs , bear on the cover and not do a better work.

You can indeed read more at the early blog about  Silver Fang Dvd's
If you cant more details and images , a taste of Silver Fang dvds history

Bonus Image;
"Mr drool a lot", know as Akakabuto

The Dvd edition, release of 2008, 2015, 2011

I have just update the history list of :  Silver Fang Dvd's

Updated 27/8- 2015

My Precious

So I got question about my favourite or beloved ginga merchandise.
Hm it's hard to say when it come to the collection .
If I shall not look at the mangas , books and just the merchandise.
I shall take just some. otherwise thee will be a long list
Well ;
Mine autograph of ; Yoshihiro Takahashi

On mine early blog ; Yoshihiro Takahashi in Finland  , You can read more ^^

So others merchandise then .
Hm, let me just focus on my favourite series by Yoshihiro Takahashi
That will be more easy to take one favourite , then the rest of collection.
One ting at the time then
Mine precious is; the Ginga Nagareboshi Gin shoes;

I think I have mention them before on the blog before and show them at my Collection site
I got the shoes around the year 2003, 2004- 2005 ?  if I remember right , at a Swedish auction site called; tradera.com.
The price were 600 kronor, that are in 67 €/ EUR , 92 $ / USD .
At the time that were a large amount, especially when you were a student.
But still a great deal, for I haven't seen any item like those shoes before.
Sure two or three times I have seen Ginga Nagareboshi Gin sandals over the many years as a collector.
But I think both are rare items.
I think I have also wrote about them in a early blog ; Question Time

Other precious item then ?

The  Silver Fang vhs tapes.

By the way Silver Fang were the Swedish and other country's translate of  Ginga Nagareboshi Gin anime.
I got the first edition for the vhs tape. At that tame there were in video stores you could rent them.
Not until much later you could buy them.
I got vol two and four from the video store I first discover Silver Fang.
The vol three I got on auction site , tradera.com.
And that took a time before I got hold on vol one. Also on the same auction site
I remember that were a bid fight, but in the end I won .

So I got the complete collection of the first release vhs tape of dear Silver Fang.
And there my friend the addiction started with mine ginga collection.

The Ginga Nagareboshi Gin LP & Ep
In other words the soundtrack, the music to Ginga Nagareboshi Gin

You can read more about the music, Lp,Ep at my early blog ; Takayuki Miyauchi
And to added the music collection the ; (Fromthe Japanese magazine Animedia)
You can read more from; The Songbook of 86

The Ginga Nagareboshi Gin figures (by Bandai)
I got a large pack with figures , but the favourite is the Blue figures

Catch 'Em All

It's hard to not sing on the theme song of Pokemon
Well at lest try , I guess , to get them all.

But I guess this will be added too, the poster, paper advertising. For the first set (small size) of the Ginga Nagareboshi Gin figures

Here comes updates and some plans

So I have been taking a break , let us say a Long vacation from bloging.
I had a lots of computer problem for a time and aswell problem with the scanner .
And I'm not a experts on those thing's .
So at same time I just taken easy from thing as well the collecting front
But also I needed a break, new job, work took up and still take up a bit of mine time.

So I'm not dead , at lest not the blog ^^
I will be back, I hope soon  with Ginga, collection updates

Other blog upcoming thing
I working to update my collection site : My Bravestarr
I have got some questions about that site .
First ; Yes
I'm My Prue have created both of  the blog and the collection site  and they are connected .
I created first the collection site, just to keep a track on mine collection .
As you know I have a large collection, just the many manga of Yoshihiro Takahashi takes up space for mine bookshelves, bookcase.

And also the site aren't just for only ginga , Yoshihiro Takahashi related items.
I guess I have been or still are a bit of a guinea-pig, that collect many things.

I are planning to do a big update on my collection in November, December this year.
I feel that I need do do that , so I can keep more track on the items.

A mail came to me with some question, matter about to be a Ginga collector .
So I were thinking to answer that ans give my thought and advice in upcoming blog
I just feel this is imported to give advice and suggestion as a older , perhaps veteran collector ;  )

Bullying  and harassment over the internet
What you perhaps wondering, how did this subject came up with collector of Ginga or Mr Takahashi ?
Well it's mostly with all fanbase , if that are anime series, manga or so that are common that bulling, frozen out people come up.
And the so callad ginga fanbase, Yoshihiro Takahashi fanbase are not an a exception.
This is from mine own experience as a fan to GNG, Ginga, Yoshihiro Takahashi over that many years I have been active
Most be around the year of 1995 - 1999 (some year around there)   and 2000- until now I guess .
My plan is to list some help site for those who being bullying  . around the world.
If you want to contribute with links , site , fact ; where you can get support and helping site and so one
You are welcome to send me a mail  ^^

This idea were created, and been a project for me since the start of the year.
And Yes I haven't been so active on this . That I need to or hopped

The clube that working activ with anti bulling, support are those three.
Which I'm a member on aswell ;

Scarsbybullying.deviantart.com/

Against bullying.deviantart.com/

Road to Recovery.deviantart.com/

Well there are just three gropes that I mention here now.
But I'm sure that are much more out there

I think that this subject are important to take up.
The attitude against bullying need to change and take more serious then it's does now.

And NO there will not be hang out site, forum, board, persons or community
It's more talking about the bulling subject , my own  opinion, view with the experience.
And a good with to bring some light with link to help site , place were you can get support  if you are bullied or know some one beeing.
Or you perhaps will end bulling that happened in front of you  .
The sad thing that Bulling isn't just in school , it can be in the work place, at home , on the internet and so one.

Alright that a heavy subject
Other then the place I guess the update on mine Ginga , Takahashi collection will take some time. And also to take photos
But I have been planning and will write about those who inspire Yoshihiro Takahashi to create Ginga Nagareboshi Gin.
I thinking about Yukio Togawa with : King Fang
Jack London with : Call of the wild, White Fang
And others

Some perhaps know that I'm a big fan to Jack Londons books  and have been since I were very young child.I think the first more grown up book I ever read were; Call of the wild.

But years back I fallen over Mr Togawa woth on King Fang
I have a small collection of  mangas. books , the anime vhs and others
I adore a bit Yukio Togawa and Ishikawa Kodansha for that manga they created.
Even that I can't read so much Japanese or understand all just the images are wonderful to follow

I have been planing for a time to write and ask others :
How do you keep care of your collections ?

This isn't just for ginga collection, just collection in general .
Were do you keep the books, manga ,the more fragile items  ?
And so one

For I are thinking to do a update on how I keep mine collection.
But also give tips, advise , idea
Love to hear from other to  ^^

Then the many other story's that aren't Ginga relate
The other work of Yoshihiro Takahashi I hope to blog about to   ^^

Oh my I have so many plans, ideas to work on this blog.
But I need to fix the computer at first ...

By the way if you have idea's or request you can send me a mail, note
Or just contact me ;

" Mail :  mybravestarr  @ (dot) com
mybravestarr  add the  @
and the hotmail (dot) c o m With out space , naturally

Or send me a note on deviantart.com my user-name there is prudance there
Be kind and write what it's about and then we can talk some more "

On the blog : Oh packet have i wrote about complete set of the magazine of the year 1986.
But before I write about them I just want to tell about a spacial little magazine, called ;
 The Animation Song Book 86

The cover

Hm perhaps you wonder what that about ?
Anything to do with ginga, Ginga Nagareboshi Gin ?
OH yes, yes  ♪
I have been meaning to write about this one, but that just slipped my mind.
I have so many project that it's hard to know were to start. Anyway

Inside the book

The song book have 26 (27 with the adds) pages.
And as you see there are many anime songs in the book.
There are opened and ending theme with Japanese text, BUT also music note or piano sheet.

I'm were happy to see the Ginga Nagareboshi Gin songs.
At lest the opened and ending theme.
There are also as you see a photo on Takayuki Miyauchi   ^^
I guessing that the book came out at same time Ginga Nagareboshi Gin were on tv in Japan.
